Middle School 6th- 8th Grade

Our middle grades program of study for students who are in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades is set to open 2015-2016 school year. This program is design to remediate students with the goal of preparing them to return to public high school, if the student so desires, by the 9th grade with the skills needed to be successful in the general education setting. Students will learn to self-advocate, strategies to compensate for areas of weaknesses, effective study skills, organizational, and test taking skills as well as learn more about their individual learning challenge(s) and how to triumph over them.

Measurable outcomes of the middle grades Program:

• To improve reading and math skills to at least a functional level
• Assessments conducted bi-annually to measure student progress toward learning
• Develop a Life Plan including short, medium, and long-term goals
• Demonstrate ability to self-advocate
