BLY/TRIUMPH
SCHOLARSHIP & AWARD
The
Jacqueline Bly/Triumph Scholarship & Award Program was established
in honor of Jacqueline Bly, a former special education teacher.
Jacqueline worked for Southampton County Public School System for
many years. It was Jacqueline's love, patience and persistence that
helped many students rise above and triumph over their academic
challenges.
PURPOSE
TRIUMPH
In Life has established the Jacqueline Bly/Triumph Scholarship &
Award Program to acknowledge the achievements of students with disabilities.
The program will also recognize outstanding individuals who have
made a significant contribution in service to these students.
RECOGNITION
Student
nominees for the scholarship and award should be nominated based
on their ability to TRIUMPH despite of their disability, showed
improvement, and/or diligent hard work. Service Providers should
be nominated based on their demonstration of caring and devotion
while helping students with disabilities TRIUMPH in Life. Service
Providers can be teachers (special or general), paraprofessionals,
principals, parents, etc.- anyone who has made a difference at any
level (K-12) in the lives of students with disabilities.
The scholarship
is open to all graduating seniors planning to attend higher education/training
or current college students. Awards are given to deserving students
in k-12 and service providers.
TO
NOMINATE:
Anyone
can nominate including parents, teachers, paraprofessionals and
students themselves. Each nominator may nominate only 1 student
and 1 service provider. (All student with disabilities eligible)
